What are your weekend plans?
Well, this afternoon I have a meeting with our local bookcrossing group for lunch. The local newspaper is coming to do an article on us. Hopefully that will generate some interest. For the most part there are just 2 of us who are active bookcrossers and we'd like that to change. There are other members, but they don't really release books or anything yet.
I'll stop at the store afterwards. I want another memory card for my camera. And I have a few things to pick up that I didn't get at the commissary on base.
Sunday will be mowing the lawn, which shouldn't take too long because its not growing much. Then housework and playing games on the computer.
I want to get the work done because Monday Brittany has an orthodontic consult and Monday evening the kids and I are driving to Columbia to go watch WWE Raw Live. They are so excited.
What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
I usually drink hot tea or an instant mocha cappucino. Generally just one cup of whichever one I choose.
When you were younger, were there any game shows that you religiously watched and wanted to be a contestant on?
Family Fued with Richard Dawson was always one of my favorites. I could play so well at home I just knew I'd do really well if given the chance. It just seemed like such a fun show.
What are the 5 words that best describe your life right now?
Question submitted by mojito.
Interesting question, so lets see what I can come up with:
Stressed: Not like "major" stress, but getting hubby ready for the deployment to Iraq and his departure date keeps changing and me constantly thinking about being home alone with the kids for the next 4 months while they drive me nuts is stressful.
Hopeful: I'm positive and optimistic about finding a job (even though sometimes I really don't want one). I know something new and exciting is waiting around the corner for me.
Peaceful: Believe it or not, even with everything going on, life is pretty peaceful.
Determined: I am determined that I can use the next 4 months to lose some much needed weight and surprise my husband when he gets home with a thinner, sexier me.
Old: My oldest will be 18 in November and graduating from high school in May. I knew this was coming, but it is still something that sits in my heart. She's a beautiful young lady, but I'm not ready to face all these changes or to let her go. (Remind me I said that the next time she and I are fighting. LOL )
What's your cell phone's ringtone? What made you pick it?
I haven't really got a set one. My cell phone rarely rings.
But for Brittany the song is: a Club mix
everyone else just has the generic tone on there. I've been too lazy/cheap to download better songs. Hubby's phone came with better ringers than mine did. And like I said, no one ever calls mine, so I haven't really cared. Cell phone reception sucks so badly, that if someone calls I have to go out in the back yard to talk on the phone. Or I never get the call and find out by a beep on the phone a few minutes later that I had a missed call.
But I just noticed I can get "Who Can It Be Now" by Men at Work and it would be so totally perfect for a ringer. I might just have to get that
If you could get someone in your life to start a blog, who would it be and why?
I would probably get my mother to start one. She has alot of inner turmoil in her life and what she feels is external drama. She's angry all the time it seems and after some therapy about 10 years ago, some childhood abuses came up to the surface. She plays the victim card alot and sometimes I think a journal would be a good thing for her to have.

Play any instrument or speak any language, which do you choose?
Question submitted by cruftbox.vox.com.
If I could play an instrument I would have to say the piano or the guitar. I remember my dad had an old guitar for a while, which was funny since he didn't know how to play either, and I would sit with it on my bed and just run my fingers over the strings never knowing what the heck I was doing.

was this a good book? Looks fun! read more
